The residence permit is granted for an initial period of one year and renewable for periods of two years. With the Golden Visa, the foreign investor creates bonds which, if kept in certain conditions and for a certain period of time, may allow in future family reunification, the assignment of a permanent residence permit (after 5 years) or nationality Portuguese (after 6 years).

The Golden Visa allows the holder to settle and invest in Portugal, as well as creating links with the Portuguese territory and other territories with which we interact through the Schengen area, and also countries with which Portugal has international agreements privileged.
